Aphrodite was a tough one. I had a sketch I did of her months ago, but she was basically just a skanky chick, so I redid her. I like this design much more, though I still could have made her more unique.

She's actually not the Goddess of love, which is contrary to how she's been evaluated in pop culture now adays. Originally she was more a goddess of lust and desire, which is what I chose to represent her as. Hence her slightly malignent nature. I wanted her to look more manipulative than sweet.

That's not true, Aphrodite is the Goddess of love and beauty. Her son, Eros, is the God of lust and desire. I would know, it's my rl name.

Ahem, anyways, I do think this is a rather nice piece ^^ The hair/flame looks amazing~
