This is without a doubt one of my favorites from the series. This is Demeter, the Goddess of the harvest, nature, and the seasons. My idea was that she ages with the seasons, dieing at the end of the year to be reborn as a child. So you wouldn't really see all 4 of them at once, that was just to give an idea of how she looks throughout the year.

At first I thought that Persephone, Demeter's daughter, was the goddess of seasons since it is during her time with her husband Hades that the Earth slowly turns cold and barren and then back again upon her return.

Then again the seasons are a result of Demeter's sorrow and happiness of her daugther's departure and return.

Ok never mind. I just convinced myself. :D

this is incredibally beautiful and clever. i love the idea of her at different ages, very interesting. you should submit this to the Greek Gods and Goddesses Contest.

This shows an aspect of demeter that I never clearly could figure out, this picture is beautiful
