I think this is my favorite of the series, even though it isn't technically the best. Hephaestus is the blacksmiths to the Gods, and the god of fire and technology. He also is the only crippled God. Unfortuneatly, right now it looks like his foot is just twisted awkwardly, or like I don't know how to draw feet correctly, but he is meant to be a gimp. Hopefully if I have time I'll go back and push that concept a lot further.
Oddly, you hit it exactly. In pretty much all the classical depictions of Hephaestus, that's just what his deformity looks like - as if his foot were twisted around backwards.
I like the flaming hair and beard, and how he doesn't really fit the 'godly' standard of looks. It's an interesting take on the character.
