Hera was also a very hard design, mostly because there's so little that defines her. This is the only one that I did pretty much completely in photoshop. I had a drawing I did months ago, but it looked too static to me, so I just started painting in Photoshop, and ended up with this. Originally she was more refined, her costume was more ornate and what not, but I liked how the end product looks more like she's a queen due to ruthless power, rather than due to the richness of her outfit.

I've never seen Hera in dark shades.
I like it. Its just. Strange. =/

I guess im used to the Disney version of Hercules.

There are actually more than 12 Olympians, but there are only 12 Olympians ever at one time. Hestia (or Vesta in Roman) was left out in favor of Hades, who is often not considered one of the 12 Olympians, since he does not reside on Mt.Olympus. It really depends on what your source is to determine exactly WHO the 12 Olympians were, considering there are about 15 or 16 Gods and Goddesses who at one time were considered to be one of the 12 Olympians. Dyonysus, for example, is another one of the Gods who was later considered to be part of the Olympians. Check out wikipedia if you want to see some other info on it.
